If you schedule yourself make sure you schedule a lunch because you will not be given any breaks. You have to buy your own materials and use your own gas. they charge you as if you never showed up! You can have a full schedule booked, but have one cancellation or one mishap on your app and they will take away your booked appointments and charge you! I am still owed money from cleanings I have done and they have charged me for they cancellations they did!!! Clients complain that Tidy is short staffed, and need to book out 2 months in advance!!! They have a high turn over rate and they don’t treat their workers fairly! You email and email them but they don’t resolve anything!! No way to contact tech support! Even though everything is in the app! No phone number listed to contact them directly! There’s no training on how to clean correctly. If your app (that is glitchy) freezes and kicks you out. So, you do the math, all that money could be in your pocket, don't support these thieves and do for yourself. So if a cleaning is $150 for 2.5 hours, you only make depending on where you live a ¼ of that. Also, they charge customers over double of what you receive for the pay. It is all a set up system for the company and not you as the "independent contractor." Run fast, far and start your own business. You can't even set your rates although they claim you can. There is no way to be your own boss with this company, they steal your money, there is absolutely no flexibility and zero ability to contact them about their procedures. If you finish a cleaning early and have a consensual agreement with a client to leave early, you get charged money.
Meaning, if somebody books you, you must go, if something happens you are charged a fee.
The app is the worst, you can set your schedule but if somebody books during your available time you have no option to decline. You sign up as an independent contractor expecting to make your own schedule but this is far from the truth.
